Lily is a chatty Kathy. I am not sure I even remember a time when she didn't talk. At her 1st birthday, she was saying "What's this?" and "What's that?" By her 2nd birthday, she was speaking in full sentences. Now, at 2 1/2, she is wowing us with her ability to pick up phrases and use them correctly. But I still love those little two-year-old nuances that she does just like any other two-year-old. Some of my favorite things that she says are:*She calls string cheese "scream cheese"
*Subway is called "Suvway"
*She says forgot as "for-brot" (pronounced like brat as in bratwurst)
*Instead of saying tonight she says "for night"
*Toenail polish is "toe paint"
There are so many little things that she says that I can't remember right now but will have to record them as I hear her say them. But, here is my favorite thing that she has said most recently:
She came out of the bathroom and announced to me: "Mom! There is a holy-crap spider in the tub!! I want to pour it down the drain!" Hmmmmm......I wonder where she got that from??? :-)
Sadie Anika is a whole different little person than her sister. She is so content to be laid back and enjoys people so much. She would much rather be in someone's arms than learning to crawl or pull herself up onto things. Which is why, at 10 months, she is now starting to show interest in getting from Point A to Point B by herself. She is mastering the art of rocking back and forth on all fours and rolling all over the room. She is now starting to pick up everything and put it in her mouth as well. She has 3 teeth and is cutting 2 more as we speak...AND she has officially said her first word. The other day I was carrying her down our stairs outside to the car and she was holding a water bottle that I had given her. She was gumming it all over the place and then dropped it, and said, clear as day, "Uh-oh." It was so cute and shocked me so I made her say it over and over to make sure that is what I had really heard, and sure enough, it was. Most times that she drops something, she now says it. It is darling :-)
