Sadie Anika's 1st Birthday

On Sunday, September 13th, my precious baby girl, Sadie Anika Ama turned one. When Lily turned one, it certainly was a bittersweet moment for me, and I felt the same when we celebrated Sadie's milestone. As a mommy, I understand that the first birthday marks the end of the baby stage and the end of breastfeeding (or the beginning of weaning) but it also is the doorway to the toddler stage, which is a lot of awesome development and fun!

We celebrated her birthday with some new friends that we have made here on the base. Great fun was had! Here are some pictures:

This is Keilah, one of the girls' new friends.

The guys doing what guys do best: grilling :)
The guy on the right is Stanley; he is a good friend from Barbados.

Some of the girls eating the fruits of the grill on our front porch.

Precious Birthday Girl!

She took NO time digging into her cupcake....quite different from Lily on her first birthday...

Ooohhhh.....gotta take a break, that's soooo good :)

Lily getting in on the action.

And, unlike Lily, Sadie also dug into her presents, really enjoying ripping up the paper!
