There really is nothing more wondrous to me than a summer afternoon when you see dark thunder clouds rolling gently overhead; a promise of the impending, sweet smelling mountain rain. I have an iced tea in hand, my beverage of choice, and all is quiet in my house and in my heart. I love to gaze out the window and marvel at every striking hue of leaf, flower, sky, and cloud, and take delight in the peaceful melody of the birds and their sing-song chorus. It is very cheerful indeed. Life is too simple not to be happy. It is only if I do not slow and observe my surroundings that discontent breeds in my heart.
