Lord, I Desire Personal Time with You!

I had one of those insanely-satisfying, hyper-productive days. I don't know why I get such a thrill off of those days, but I do. It's like an endorphin high. Maybe it's because I am wired that way; I like the adventure of the long to-do list and at the end of the day, I enjoy looking back to see how many check marks are on that list. The more, the merrier :) Anyway, it is great to dwell in a clean home that has a full refrigerator. And it is nice to work out the body that will be eating the food in the refrigerator and that will be abiding in the clean home! Yay!

On another note, lately I have been really desiring that "set-aside" time to spend exclusively with the Lord. And I say "exclusively" because all of you moms out there understand that there is always something pulling at your attention all day (usually the toddler pulling at your pant leg, or the baby crying to be fed!) I remember when I had the liberty to just waltz out the door and take a stroll around the block with God. I would put on some music and worship my heart out. I remember being able to sit and read the Word and just read. Know what I mean? So I was wondering if any of you have any awesome ideas that you have implemented to spend time with God that actually work for you? It's crazy to try and juggle husband time/kid time/god time/personal time every day. I'd love to hear something new that I haven't tried...it is easy to get stuck in a rut!

Okay, it's off to bed....time to relax for the first time today....ciao.

First of all - it is AWESOME to "hear" your true voice again - I've been missing it! Second, I think that the "set-aside" time is something we ALL battle as moms. I have found that the only time that works for me is after everyone else has gone to bed, because I'm a night owl. I just can't bring myself to wake up early - I've tried. But, I can stay up later with the best of them. When I was at home w/ the girls, I tried to get their afternoon naps coordinated so that they were sleeping at the same time. It's easy to then use that time to do "chores", but much more important to use that time to be with Daddy. Love you, amazing daughter of the King!
