Sadie Anika

My little Say-Say LOVES the Word of God!  She is a little preacher at heart, and really, she astounds us at how passionate she is about the Bible.

She has a few children's Bibles with pictures in them and asks us to read them all the time.  Almost every day.  She always requests "Jesus" and "Paul".

She loves the testimony of Saul's conversion to Christ and she loves to read about his missionary journeys.

She has shown particular interest in the crucifixion and the pain that Jesus felt on the cross.  She always asks about His facial expression in the picture of Him as he is dying on the cross.

One Saturday morning, Benjie and I were sleeping in, and the girls got up before us (this is usually the case on the weekends).  We heard Sadie outside our door, preaching a whole sermon on Jesus and Paul and God.  She went on and on for about five minutes in her broken two-year-old talk, and it was the most precious thing.

She even asks to sleep with the Bible.  She will cuddle it as she sleeps (along with her 5 crocheted blankets that she spreads all around and uses as her pillows and her umpteen stuffed animals).

Thank you Jesus, for fire and passion in a two-year-old!

I pray that you would reveal yourself in a greater revelation to her, visiting her in her sleep and in her wakefulness, pointing her to yourself and your impeccable character.  Instill in her a fire that can never be extinguished and give us wisdom, as her mom and dad, on how to add fuel to that fire!
